Brazil

Glenmark's wholly-owned Brazilian subsidiary, Glenmark Farmaceutica Ltda. [GFL] acquired Laboratorios Klinger in March 2004. As part of this deal, Glenmark acquired an ANVISA approved formulation facility located in Sao Bernardo do Campo in Greater Sao Paulo which manufactures solid orals, semi-solid and liquid orals. Currently the facility caters to the production needs of 80% of the products marketed in Brazil as well as to the Latin American markets.

Nasik

This state-of-the-art facility has been approved by WHO-GMP and several international regulators across the semi-regulated markets. It caters to the bulk of the demand for solid orals, liquid orals, and external creams and powders across markets in Asia [including India], Africa, CIS/Russia and Latin America. It presently employs over 190 people.

The company is presently expanding this facility and building a dedicated export oriented unit to cater to growth in demand for its solid orals, semi-solid and liquid orals range of formulations in semi-regulated markets.

Baddi

Construction of this manufacturing facility at Himachal Pradesh was initiated in the fourth quarter of FY 2005.

It will cater to the production of solid orals, semi-solid and liquid orals as well as external preparations like lotions, creams, etc. for India and select semi-regulated markets. A portion of the facility will also meet the needs of regulated markets for certain dosage forms.

Vysoké Mýto

Glenmark´s wholly owned Czech and Slovak subsidiary Medicamenta a.s. (acquisition in 2007) has been established in 1992 in Vysoké Mýto. At the present, Medicamenta has an authorization to manufacture medicines, to do distribution of pharmaceutical products to Czech and Slovak markets.

Technological processes are fully in line with environmental protection rules. Medicamenta is a GMP holder and certified by the Czech regulatory authority SÚKL. Medicamenta is also authorization holder for imports from 3rd countries and holder of ISO 9001:2000 certificate since 2003. Currently has 88 employees who work in the manufacturing site and laboratory which plays an important role in chemical and microbiological quality assurance according to GMP principles in Vysoké Mýto, in the Sales and Marketing team and in the Head Office in Prague.
